If you’ve ever tried on a pair of jeans only to find them sitting awkwardly above your ankles like an unintentional capri, you know the struggle. At Good American, we’re entering an uncharted territory of jeans.
Introducing Tall Genes Tall Jeans, our latest denim collection designed specifically for women with long legs who do not want to compromise on fit, style, or comfort. Inspired by the powerhouse athletes dominating women’s basketball, we knew it was time to step up and deliver jeans that actually go the distance.
Stories That Inspired Us
When we set out to create Elevated, we didn’t just guess what tall women wanted… we listened.
Take Jordan, a 6’3” former college basketball player, who told us:
“I’ve spent my whole life shopping in the men’s section just to find jeans that reach my ankles. I want to feel confident in denim made for me and not something I had to settle for.”
Or Mia, a 5’11” volleyball player, who said:
“I’ve always been proud of my height, but shopping made me feel so out of place. I feel more confident on the court than I do a mall, and I think that needs to be changed. There are always petite sizes or XXL, but never made for specifically tall.”
These are frustrations and experiences shared by countless women who have been overlooked by the fashion industry for too long. And with the explosion of women’s sports (finally), the conversation around inclusivity in fashion is more important than ever.

Women’s basketball is having a moment. Attendance records are breaking, TV ratings are soaring, and the world is finally recognizing the power and presence of tall women. But what happens when these same women step off the court and into a world that hasn’t caught up to their fashion needs?
